Promotion of the expansion of renewable energy

We are strengthening the energy transition far beyond legal obligations. For every kilowatt hour that our customers purchase, we invest in the expansion of renewable energies in Germany, Europe and countries in the global south. In the Sustainable Development Goal, Goal 7 is defined as access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all by 2030. Use of clean energy by households worldwide promotes many other SDGs, including climate protection (SDG 13), gender equality (SDG 5 ) and health and well-being (SDG 3).
